36 Weeks...the countdown is on....

I went to see Dr. Taylor today. It was a very uneventful visit...which is good :-) Declan is head down and has a healthy heartbeat. I am very blessed and have had a very good pregnancy. I will be going to the doctor every week now until he gets here! I cannot believe I am only four weeks away from my due date! Time is really flying by now. I will be working this week at school and preparing for my students to come back on the 10th. Where did the summer go?!

We will miss you Ashley and Dave!

Good friends of ours are moving to San Antonio, Texas :-(

We had a FUN and much needed girl's night to send Ashley off last weekend and Jenna and Ramsey had a party last night at their beautiful new home to send both Ashley and Dave off.

We are very happy for them, but will miss them so much! We hope to visit them soon! We love you Ashley and Dave! Oh yeah...how could I forget...we will miss Lux too!!!

Declan's Nursery

My favorite decoration made by one of my very talented nephews, Gavin.

Monkeys everywhere:-)

So, I finally finished the nursery. I went with a monkey theme and I am hoping that they do not become Declan's childhood fear. We have a lot of monkeys in the nursery. I am not the best decorator, but it was so much fun to do! They are serious when they say that "nesting" stuff kicks in.
Jason put together everything...including the crib twice. Do not assemble a crib in another room and then try to move it in to the nursery. Not a good plan as Jace discovered. He was very patient though. He is going to be an incredible father!

I had 3 amazing showers and received so many wonderful things for our new baby boy! He is loved so much already by so many people. I am so thankful and grateful for everything we were "showered" with. We are so lucky to have our friends and family! Thank you!

New Home

Our New House

The Bell Tower
Some of you may know that we recently moved. We are still living in Midtown and moved about a quarter mile from our old town home into a house. Our new house is ranch style, which is nice for me now...and Dixon (our dog). It is also a little more "kid" friendly. For those of you who had been to our old house...my dad said that we lived in the "Bell Tower." We are very happy with the move and new house, BUT we miss our neighbors a ton! Let me tell you though..moving 7 months pregnant was NOT fun! There is NO way we could have done it without the help of my mom and movers. My mom is the world's strongest woman! I had to rely on her a lot with me being pregnant and with Jason working. She basically organized our entire house with a little of my help here and there. It was fun spending time with her and having her help! We are very grateful to you, mom! THANK YOU!!!

First Blog....

We are Jason and Stefani Wood. We were married on April 27, 2008 in a beautiful ceremony on the beach in the Dominican Republic. We are currently living in Atlanta. We are expecting our first child, a little boy, on August 24, 2009. We are very excited for the arrival of Declan Edward Wood! I have started the blog for family and friends to see what is going on in our world and keep everyone updated. Hope you enjoy it!

Summer is ending and Declan will be here soon....

This is my first blog entry...so please be patient....

I wanted to create a blog to let family and friends know what is going on in our world. I love looking at our friend's and family's blogs, so I decided to create our own.

Summer is quickly coming to an end :-( I cannot believe that is it almost over and that my due date is a month from today! I am going to spend the next couple of weeks making sure my students, parapros, and long-term substitute are set for when I am out on maternity leave. I am only taking 6 weeks off and then I will be back in the classroom. My sister has offered to keep Declan for us when I go back to work. I am so grateful to have her. I am not sure who is more excited...Aunt Staci or my adorable niece Kara!

So...these next few weeks will be busy preparing for baby Declan and making sure things at work are okay.

I will try to post pictures soon :-)
