Getting There....

We had a VERY busy weekend! We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary on Friday. It was a perfect night with my amazing husband. Jason and I have been through a lot in 4 years and have worked very hard at our marriage. I'm so happy where we are today and that we communicate and always work things out. We are a really good team. I honestly could not ask for a more wonderful husband or father for our boys.

My parents kept Declan for us on Friday and most of Saturday...Aunt Staci was there to relieve my mom on Saturday. It was very nice to have a night and day to spend with each other. I'm very lucky to have a wonderful family that helps out so much.

My parents also surprised us with our new crib and mattress!!! It was so thoughtful of them and we appreciated it very much.

We also got to see my family and celebrate the upcoming wedding of my cousin! We haven't all gotten together in a long time, so it was wonderful to see everyone and catch up! We won't be able to make the wedding:(. It is a week before Mead arrives!

I also attended a baby shower for Lauren and Liam! Little Liam got lots of goodies! Can't wait to meet that sweet baby!!!

Jason was sick this weekend, but knows me oh so well, and mustered up the energy to put a couple things together for me...well, Mead:)

New crib!!! Thanks, Mom and Dad:)

New Pack and Play!!! Just one of the many gifts from my fabulous coworkers:)

I still have some more to do, but at least we have started!

32 Weeks!

Uneventful doctor's visit, which is GREAT. BP great, measuring perfectly, payment made on c-section surgery (sucks), and only gained 1 pound! I go back May 10th. Mead moves constantly which is very different from Declan. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable and have not been sleeping well for weeks. Definitely a little cranky. Poor Jason! He has been so patient and helpful... And this may surprise some of you...but calm:). I will update soon!

School Shower

My wonderful friends and coworkers threw a shower for me and Baby Mead today. I cannot even begin to tell you how thoughtful and generous they all were. We do not need a lot of things for Mead, but we do NEED a few big things and we were lucky enough to get some of them today...along with a ton of other goodies! I was absolutely blown away with everything! I'm feeling very blessed and very lucky to have Mead (and Declan) loved by so many people. It was such a nice shower and I cannot say thank you enough! Love my work family so much!

I Love My New Shoes!

Jason and I have a VERY opinionated and strong-willed child...or he is just a typical 2...almost 3 year old. Not sure, but either way he can be very challenging at times. I have learned to pick my battles. I learned that even before I had him! The other day was one of those days...

Declan and I went to the store to have him fitted for shoes again and to get another pair that fit a little better. We tried on the cutest pair of Nike running shoes that I LOVED! As he tried them on he said "Ummmm, Mommy, maybe these are too tight and too green or something. I like my other shoes and we will keep them.". Those were his exact words. Mind you this trip was on a day with no nap. I know, what was I thinking?! We tried on another pair, Adidas this time. "I think these are too big or something Mommy and too red.". I felt like I was in the book Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I finally broke down and said "Fine. Pick a pair that you want then.". He chose the pair of shoes he wanted, put them on himself, would not take them off and asked each person that we passed in the store, "Hi. Do you like my new shoes, they light up?". He could not have been happier. This really made me smile...a lot.

I can't believe he is getting so big so fast and picked out his first pair of shoes. I sure do love our little boy and all of the joys...and challenges he brings to our lives!

6/13/12

Baby Mead will be here! Everything went great yesterday, I'm measuring just right, BP was perfect, baby Mead's heartbeat was strong and I only gained 2 pounds! Perfect appointment! So we will be a family of four very soon! The 13th is also my very best friend's bday (if you know me or keep up with the blog...then you know that is Kendra)! So fun!!! That's date just kind of worked out and was the earliest they would schedule it.

So now it is time to start getting things ready for this baby! I really need to get on it! It is amazing how I'm WAY more relaxed with the second child. It will all fall into place, right? Can't wait to be a family of four, but we can wait a couple more months;)

Special Olympics

We had Special Olympics today! I love the Special Olympics, but they sure are exhausting...especially when you are 30 weeks pregnant! Whew! What a day! I still get goosebumps when we do the opening ceremonies and as I watch my kids participate in their events! I LOVE my kids so much and it makes me so happy that they get the opportunity to participate in the Special Olympics! It is truly a team event and I could not do it without the help of my incredible parapros and coworkers. We are a great team. Today is another reminder of how much I love what I do and how lucky I am to work with the most special kids in the world!

Hoppy Easter...I'm so clever:)

I was exhausted after the beach...still am. It was SO much fun, but definitely not relaxing. Our families had Easter meals planned, so we got up early and I got everything done so we could go. We really missed Jason and wanted to spend the day as a family. We had such a nice day. I miss the beach already, but it sure is good to be home!

The rest of this month is extremely busy at work...heck the rest of the year is! I have so much to do between IEP meetings, Reevals, Special Olympics, community skills, teaching, and getting ready for next school year! Ahhhhh! Hopefully my BP will stay down this time. I go to the doctor tomorrow and we will schedule the c-section. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow, which means baby Mead will be here in 9 short weeks! He needs to stay cooking too, because I need to get a ton done!

Here are some pictures from Easter!

Last Days On The Island

We had a really cold rainy day, so we went on a golf cart scavenger hunt, visited the animals and dyed our Easter eggs! Thankfully our last day there was beautiful! Here are the rest of the pictures!

Fripp Island Part ll

We are having the BEST time! We have had the most beautiful weather and of course the best company! We have played hard between the beach, pool, playgrounds, and adventures on the golf cart! Declan has been very flexible and cannot get enough of playing with his cousins. He has also taken a liking to Nolan. He is getting a lot of practice with a baby. Nolan is very patient with Declan;). I think he is going to be a great big brother to Mead. It melts my heart to watch these cousins play together. My sister and I have had a ton of fun catching up and spending time together too.

Ready for a golf cart ride!

They really cannot get any cuter!

My favorite picture! He is such a trooper!
