Declan's First Braves Game 5-29-12

Jason took us to the Braves game last night. It was our first game as a family and Declan's first game altogether. It was a perfect night. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. I'm not sure who had more fun...Declan or Jason. We got there a couple of hours early and made it to the 5th inning! Not too bad! It was probably one of the most fun times I've had with my boys! It is nice to spoil Declan while we can! Oh and the Braves won! Yay!

A Day With The Wood Men

Declan spent the day with his dad, uncle, grandpa, and great grandfather riding tractors and doing "man" stuff as they call it! Declan was SO excited to leave with his dad and go to "work.". I wish that I had a picture of him enforce he left. He had the best time! It made my heart happy as Jason sent me pictures of them. I think the big boys enjoyed it as much as Declan. He is a very loved and lucky little boy!

A Visit to See Gma!

I went to visit Grandmama today! It had been waaayyyy to long since I had seen her. I met my mom there and the 3 of us had a great visit! Grandmama was in a great mood an happy to have us there...and we were happy to be there. My mom not only does so much for us, but she does a lot for gma too. How does she do it all? I was glad I could help a little today!

Declan picked a picture to color and for me to take to his GiGi! Not bad coloring either!!!

One happy lady today!

Lots of Changes

How cute are his school pictures?!

It is the last week of school! Yay! I will miss my students and working this summer terribly, but I'm going to focus on being a mom this summer! I'm really looking forward to it!

So........we have the last week of school, Declan will start in home daycare next month to help him transition in August, swimming lessons, a new baby, possibly a move in the near future(fingers crossed). That's a lot for an adult, but even more so for a two year old! We will do whatever we can to make all of these changes as smooth as possible, but he is a tough little boy.

I'm still right on schedule with my pregnancy! Uneventful, but great appointments:). Mead will be here in 3 weeks! I can't wait! I'm still pretty attached to Declan and really looking forward to the next few weeks to focus on him!

Other than that things are good in Wood's World!!!

Liam Christopher Wood

Our nephew was born on Monday! He is absolutely perfect and we love him so much already. He was in the transitional nursery when we went to visit, so I haven't been able to hold him yet! It is killing me! Hoping to see him and love on him this weekend! I am beyond happy for Chris and Lauren! They are going to be wonderful parents! Also excited for Declan and Mead to have another cousin to love and play with. My pictures are terrible, but I will be taking more! Declan was very excited to see his cousin! I think being at the hospital helped too. We are taking a tour of Piedmont specifically for him this weekend. Anything to help him with all of the changes he will be going through!

We love you, Liam! Happy Birthday:)

Norcross Car Show

A Tribute To My Mom

Dear Mom,

I'm not sure it is possible to put into words how much you mean to me, but I'm going to try, so here it goes...

You are the person that loved me the minute you found out you were pregnant with me, loved me as soon as you saw me and have continued to love me unconditionally from that moment on and still do...no matter what.

When I look back at my childhood I have the best memories of you and the time we spent together. I honestly do. It is hard to come up with a bad memory. I think there might have been a few times that I got the wooden spoon, but I'm pretty sure I deserved it. You never made me feel badly about myself and always supported me...always. Whatever I wanted to do or whatever I was into at the time you made it happen, but you also made me follow through. You took me with you to the Family Crisis Center where I spent time playing with abused children while you spent time with their abused mothers. Little did I know, I don't think you did either, that you were teaching me to be a strong and independent woman.

You taught me how to love everyone no matter their differences and to be kind to everyone. Something I still live by today. Part of the reason I became a teacher.

I don't remember you telling me "no" a lot. I'm sure you did, but I'm pretty sure I got a warning and then you let me figure things out on my own. And as I got older I sure had a lot of things to figure out and wish that I would have listened to those warnings. And of course you stood by me even if I made mistakes...which I did, several BIG ones, and you bailed me out yet made sure a lesson was learned and I better NEVER make that same mistake twice.

You always are there to listen and always know the right thing to say. How do you do that? Maybe we are very similar so I agree with a lot of the things you say, but you always know what to stay at the right time. Is this something I will learn...ever? Even if I don't agree with it at the time...you were usually right.

You are constantly doing for others and putting everyone else's needs before your own. All while NEVER complaining!!! In fact, I think that the only time that you aren't doing something for someone else is when you are traveling the world. And...good for you!!! I'm sure you are helping some stranded or lost traveler, but I like to think that you are taking time for yourself and finally doing for you.

I often wonder if I will ever be the kind of mom you are to me to my boys. You have set the bar so high it almost seems impossible. I want them to love and appreciate me as much as I love and appreciate you. Honestly I wanted two boys, the only reason I wanted a girl was so that I could have the type of relationship with her as you and I do. It is so special and a relationship that many moms and daughters don't have. It is hard to be a mother and friend, but yet you did it.

I wish you would write a manual on how to be a Mom for me. I would love a personal copy to keep with me at all times. I know you don't think that you are close to being perfect, but you are, in my eyes. You are by far the best mom and grandmother. You do so much for me and my family and I do not know what I would do without you. You really are my hero and I want to be just like you when I grow up. Thanks for raising me to be the woman that I am today and for loving me unconditionally...I know it was not easy at times. Thank you for the lessons you have taught me and the morals and values you have instilled in me. Thanks, Mom. You have no idea how much I love you and cherish the relationship that we have. I'm so lucky and thank God for you every single day.

I could list a million wonderful memories, but there are far too many! You know what they are and so do I and I will hold on to those memories forever!

Happy Early Mother's Day!!!!

I love you MORE!
Your Baby,
Stefani

Sprinkle

My best friend threw a "sprinkle" for Baby Mead yesterday. It was the most perfect laid back shower with some of my closest friends. I had a few that couldn't make it, but contributed to a gift that we really needed....our monitors along with some other fun gifts. My friends continue to amaze me with their generosity. I am so unbelievably lucky to have the friends that I have and they mean the world to me. Kendra put a lot of time into a getting everything together for the present and shower. Mind you, she is 17 weeks pregnant and has a two year old...not sure how she does it all. I'm so grateful to have her for my BFF!!! It was a wonderful afternoon and a very special day for me and my baby boy! Thank you girls! I love you all so much, you have no idea!

Love them!
