I had my work party today which was great and then Declan and I headed to Gi Gi's for a party at the nursing home. Grandmama looked beautiful tonight and was so happy dancing and listening to Christmas carols. Declan had fun dancing and singing along too. I love to bring him to Grandmama's because he seems to put a smile on everyone's face. It was a fun night with the family.

You might be wondering why this is titled "Tyson?". Well, my grandmother kept calling me "Tysie" tonight which is her cat's name. No, I did not correct her. What's the point? Plus, he is her favorite thing on earth, so I just took it as a compliment;-).

She is still having good days and bad days, but the bad days are outweighing the good ones. Luckily she has the world's best children and their support!

I'm glad we could make another memory with her tonight!


Off to bed now! One more day and a big meeting and I'm off for 2 weeks! I can't wait! I haven't even started my Christmas shopping!!!

Nights of Lights

We went to Lake Lanier to see the Christmas lights last weekend. Uncle Chris and Aunt Lauren came with us and we had so much fun! The 4 of us have the best time together!

Declan LOVED looking at the lights while sitting in the front seat with Uncle Chris. He also loved the carnival rides at Santa's Village. We definitely have an adrenaline junkie already at the age of 2!!! He is scared of the dark, but will ride ANY ride and wants to go on the tallest, fastest, and scariest. I have a feeling this is a glimpse into the teenage years!

12 Weeks

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow! It seems like this first trimester is taking forever! I think it is because I found out so early on that I was pregnant. I'm feeling great! No sickness and slowly getting my energy back! I'm eating everything and definitely gaining weight...quickly. Still in my regular clothes, but have the belly bands just in case!

I go to the doctor Wednesday. I'm very anxious to go! I saw the heartbeat on the US at 6 weeks and have not heard it or seen the baby since then. Just want to make sure the baby is okay and hear that wonderful sound! Please say a little prayer for us!

Declan is very aware that I'm pregnant and has started telling people that there is a "baby in my mommy's belly and it is a girl.". Everyone is asking if we want a girl. We want healthy and that is all we care about! I will be fine with a baby boy or baby girl! I have absolutely no preference.

Don't worry! This blog is not my pregnancy blog! There are books that you can read that tell you about each week of pregnancy, but I will be mentioning it! So....if it bores you, you might want to stop reading until the 2nd week of June ;)

December

I can't believe it is December! Declan is enjoying Christmas. He loves the lights, undecorating the tree, his singing Santa, his advent calendar, the nativity scene and his elf on the shelf named Bob! I love the little traditions we have started as a family! I can't wait for 2 weeks off to create even more memories this holiday!

We went over to Bryan and Kendra's on Saturday to watch SEC championship and let Rylan and Declan play. I can't get enough of these two together. They are so cute playing with each other! It is so crazy that Kendra and I have been BEST friends since we were 9 and now we are watching our on two kids play together! I hope they stay friends as long as we have!

So much to be thankful for...

With all of the tragic losses of friends that were essentially family in the past several months it is sometimes hard to be thankful. That's when you actually have to step back and be thankful for what you have...not what you don't. I'm thankful for the time I had with each of these incredible people and the memories that I made with each of them. My heart still hurts and I think about each of them every single day. I'm also very thankful that this little baby has 3 guardian angels looking over it! They would have been so excited about another Wood baby!



Yep! Declan is going to be a BIG BROTHER!!! Jason and I are beyond thrilled! We definitely have so much to be thankful for. This was my first US confirming that there was only one baby since we have a history of twins. I'm 10 weeks, which is still early, but I felt it was time to share. It has been kind of doom and gloom lately and this is the best news. My due date is June 20th. I have been feeling great, but exhausted. Jason has been so patient and supportive. I seriously could not ask for a better husband. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a healthy pregnancy.

Thanksgiving already?!

I have the entire week off for Thanksgiving this year! I have been loving it! I have Declan completely off schedule and we are doing whatever we want this week. Life is way too short. I'm trying to make and cherish all of the memories that I can with my boys! With that being said...I plan on taking Declan to do as much as we can this holiday season. He really gets it this year and it is already so much fun. My mom and I actually decorated the house yesterday with Declan. (shhhhh....I know it is early), but he had so much fun. I can't wait to put the tree and lights up. I will have Clark Grisswold (Jason), help me this weekend :)

CONGRATULATIONS to Chris and Lauren!!! They just recently got engaged and Lauren is pregnant!!! We could not be happier for these two!!! I'm so excited to have another niece/nephew!!! Yay!!! We love you guys!!! You both will be amazing parents!!!
