Weekend

It was so nice to have Jason home after working out of town for 2 weeks! Declan and I were both VERY happy to see him. We had a lot of family time which included taking Declan to Benihana (hibachi restaurant) and he thought it was hilarious! We also went to lunch with the Nau's :-) Jason put together Declan's Johnny Jumper from his Pop and Cyn Cyn and he loves it! I am kind of nervous he is going to smack his head on the door frame though. We just have to watch him as he jumps all over the place.

Declan has developed quite the personality. He is still very happy and laughing all of the time. He doesn't even cry when he wakes up in the night or in the morning. He just talks to himself and nods back off to sleep. He is sleeping through the night which is wonderful! He goes to bed around 6:30 and then we get up at 5:00 to start our day.

He is coughing...AGAIN! This kid is going to have one strong immunity! I feel like he has spent half of his life sick. Through it all he just smiles and goes with the flow. I have a classroom full of sick children and think that might be part of the problem :-(

His 6 month check up is in 2 weeks! I will update soon!

The Shaw Family

One of my best friends in the entire world (from high school) welcomed her second son into the world...Jackson Edward Shaw. The Shaws are all doing well and I cannot wait to see them and meet Jackson! He is already a week old...and is perfect! Congrats Shaw family! We Love You!

Laughing!

My favorite sound in the entire world is Declan laughing! It is very contagious! He thinks I am pretty funny, but thinks his cousins are hysterical! I wanted to share this video with you! Hope it makes you smile as much as it makes me!

Happiness

Just some cute pictures of Declan :-) He did the tripod fold right after this picture and nearly fell off of the couch. He is almost sitting up by himself, but not quite yet!
Pretty sure he looks EXACTLY like Jason here in his Polo shirt and Polo jeans!

5 Months

D Man is 5 months! Wow! He is off of his Prevacid and loving the rice cereal. He is also on a great schedule and sleeping through the night. He belly laughs and coos nonstop. He really is so perfect! He is also still loving being with the Cullinan's while Jason and I are working. He watches his cousins and just laughs. He has also gotten extremely close to my sister. As crazy as it sounds...because he is only 5 months...I think he looks forward to going over there.

He has rolled over from his tummy to his back and is very close to rolling over from his back to tummy. Everything is happening fast...just like everyone says!

Jason is continuing to work in NC. The end is in sight, though. He is hoping to pick up a job in Troy, Alabama...so cross your fingers and say a prayer! It is still out of town, but 5 hours closer to me and Declan. Declan definitely knows who his dad is and lights up when Jason walks in the room. Absolutely precious to see the bond between the two of them. Jason continues to amaze me with juggling work and being a family man. Declan and I are very lucky. He is one hell of a father and husband...which is very hard to find these days.

Tamie and Snow

Mom, Declan and Tamie
Declan's first snow!

Well...we had winter storm 2010! Ha ha! School was closed on a Friday! Don't get me wrong...it was nice to spend an unexpected day with the world's best baby boy, but it is now a day we have to make up :-(

My mom's best friend (since high school) who is also my Godmother came to visit us from Colorado! Tamie aka "Treat," is one amazing woman! I was so glad that Declan got to meet her. I think she is the only other person that is as happy as Declan all of the time. Her smile and laughter are contagious. Our family is so lucky to have her. My mom had a really rough week and nothing cheers you up more than your BFF. I was glad that she and my mom had a nice visit. It reminds me of my BFF, Kendra, and the years to come :-) Declan of course fell in love with her! We can't wait to take him out to visit her for his first ski trip!

WE LOVE YOU TREAT!!!

Rice Cereal

Declan tried rice cereal yesterday. The pediatrician said to wait until he was 5 months, but we did it 10 days early. Terrible parents! Ha ha! I wanted to do it while Jason was here to see it. Declan seemed to actually kind of like it. Of course he did...it is food! I think he was more impressed with the spoon and the bowl, but that is a good sign! Here are some cute pictures! We will keep trying until he gets the hang of it. He is getting a little in the morning and some right before bedtime.

Back to work Monday

Happy Boy!
Playing with Cyn Cyn and Harley

He LOVES our cat Mr. Sims!

Helping me do laundry. Looks just like his dad here!

My boys :-)

I am back to work on Monday. I have SO enjoyed my time off. It has been so wonderful to be at home with Declan. We did a lot of bonding! I also loved having Jason home for over a week. We had a wonderful time just hanging out as a family. I love my boys so much I can't stand it. I am going to be so sad to see Jason go back to NC Sunday morning and I think it is going to be a little hard to leave Declan on Monday. Back to the grind though...such is life. At least I have a job that I love. I have missed my students so much too. I can't wait to see them! I count my blessings everyday! I am one very lucky girl!!!

Spend the Night Party!

I had the pleasure of having my twin 5 year old nephews (Gavin and Owen) and my 2 year old niece (Kara) over to play and spend the night. I packed them all into my sister's minivan (including Declan) and we headed to the A. We had McDonald's, watched movies, ate popcorn and stayed up late by the fire! They started off sleeping in the loft, but then the boys ended up on the couches and Kara ended up in the bed with me and Jason. We had the BEST time with them and they were angels. I love those 3 kids as if they were my own!

We got to go out for New Year's Eve festivities with some of closest friends kid free! It was the first time we had all been out together without our kids. We went to dinner at a cute little Italian restaurant in Buckhead called Antica Posta and then to Churchill's to bring in the new year. I think we were the oldest people there, but we didn't care it was just nice to all be out together. We all even made it until midnight! Ha ha! Thanks for a fun night out guys! Thanks to my sister and bro-in-law for keeping Declan too. It is so nice not to worry when we are out!
