Welcome 2014!

I have two New Year's resolutions!  1. To be a better wife and 2.  Update the blog and keep it updated!  I have a new iPad so that should help (with blogging) not the wife part;).   I blog because it is a memory keeper for myself.  It is more like a digital memory book.

 2013 was not the worst year, but we are definitely looking forward to 2014.  It is going to be a great year!

A lot has happened since August:). School is going great for me!  I adore my kids, their parents and the people I work with!

Declan is doing great in pre-k.  He absolutely loves it!  He is very active and impulsive, but extremely smart!  He is listening a lot better at home too.  I could only have asked for a better teacher for him.  She is phenomenal and adores him!  I'm very grateful to her!  As long as Declan loves to go to school and learning we are good!  He is a little sponge!

Mead is 18 months old now!  He is so freaking smart and with it.  I'm amazed at what smart boys we have.  Mead helps around the house and is already using two to three word sentences.  He is very independent and watches everything his big brother does...good and bad.  He has even started using the potty!

They both try my patience and are busier than ever, but I could not love these boys anymore!!!

Jason is great.  Still working very hard as usual.  I'm excited to see what 2014 holds for him.  He has some "irons in the fire," so to speak... and I think this will be his year.  He deserves it!

It's been a REALLY long time...

Since I have blogged! We have been busy with everyday life! So much to say, but not enough time in the day! We are alive and well! Summer is over and we are back to school! Declan started pre-k last week and I entered my 12th year teaching the most amazing students! Declan also turned 4 yesterday?! I seriously cannot believe how big the boys are getting! I'm rambling imagine that:).
Summer was the summer of work for our family! Whoever says teachers have the summers off is WRONG! I worked very hard, but also had some quality time with the boys. Jason was busy working as well, so no trips. We definitely don't feel sorry for ourselves after going to the beach and DisneyWorld earlier this year! We are very lucky!

The boys are awesome! Mead is so smart and has a very bad temper. I would say he smiles 90% of the time! He talks a lot like his big brother. He currently says...up, yeah, bye, cool, mama, de de (Declan), da da, all done, no, ball, apple, Cyn Cyn, and continues to sign! He is a joy! His smile lights up a room and we still get stopped everywhere we go with compliments of how adorable he is!

Declan is so smart it is scary! He absolutely loves school! I LOVE having him at work with me everyday! We get lots of one on one time! It takes us about 20 minutes to make it down the hallway, because he has to speak to everyone! Pretty sure he gets that from his Dad and Pop:)

Jason and I are great! Both working hard and trying to be great parents! Just enjoying life, each other, and our boys:)

Summer!

We finally made it to the Cullinan's new pad! It is amazing and we could not be happier for them!!!! the house is amazing a d the boys loved the pool with their Aunt a d cousins!

Happy Anniversary!

Mom and Dad just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary! Wow! Absolutely amazing! They have set the bar so high and have shown us what a marriage is all about! Dad sent us a text while they were celebrating with this picture...."your beautiful Mom, I love her more than anything in this world! ". The sweetest thing ever!!!

Father's Day

Our boys could not be luckier to have Jason as their father! Declan walked around with a #1 dad hat and would not let me leave without it!!!! He LOVES his Daddy! So does Mead...he runs to him and grabs him at the Knesset the minute he walks in the door! Makes my heart so happy! I knew Jason would be a great Dad, but he has exceeded my expectations! He is amazing! We are so lucky! Love MY boys!

Scott Woodside...there are many words to describe you, but I choose....generous, hilarious, loving, selfless, and wonderful! You are the epitome of a perfect father. Thanks for always being there for me and my family! Your love is unconditional and so evident! We love you!!!!

Mead is 1 part 2!

He is a ball of fire and ever so handsome! He has been off of his bottle for a week, walking and sleeping through the night! He is the best dancer and has amazing personality! We had such a fun weekend celebrating with family!!!

Mead is 1!!!

What?! Where has the time gone?! This has been the absolutely fastest year of my life! I can't believe this time last year we were meeting our other precious little boy! He is amazing! So smart, just like his big bro. He is happy 99% of the time. Still not sleeping through the night...my fault. I just can't get enough of him! I feel so lucky and hate the term "blessed," but I do to have two healthy, smart, and beautiful little boys! We love you Mead man, Meadie Peadie, Biscuit, Chunky Monkey! You have no idea how much joy and smiles you bring to everyone! I have never been out with you and had someone not comment about how adorable you are! We love you!!!

SUMMER!

First of all another shout out to SAHMs!!! How do you do it? I love spending time with my precious boys, but they are wild and so busy! I really do think I'm a better mom when I work. Yes, I work with kids, but it is different! I love my boys more than anything in this world, do not get me wrong, but it is time to go back to work! ESY starts Monday! We have had a fun summer filled with lots of things to do (downtime sucks)! From play dates, to adventures, to time with family...I have tried to keep them occupied! I will miss them dearly, but ready to get back to work! ESY is 4 days a week and 4 hours a day, so it is the perfect balance...and I make a little extra $$$:). T-Ball Starts!

Declan started t-ball this summer! He loves it! This little boy can throw! Everyone comments on what a strong arm he has! He throws with his right and bats with his left! He listens and does so well with his coaches! He and Jason play a lot too! So cute!

Our sweet nephew turned 1 on the 21st of May! He is the sweetest blonde haired blue eyed baby...now toddler... and we could not be more in love with him! We love you, Liam!

And then there were two!

Mead had a major out patient surgery today! They found his undescended testicle! Yay! He now has two! He was a TROOPER! Did not cry at all until he was back in my arms after surgery and in pain. He had 5 incisions! It was a major surgery, but nothing that some of the other kiddos had to have today. Definitely counting our blessings and hugging our boys tighter tonight! He handled the surgery and anesthesiology great! I'm really so impressed with the outcome! Thank you for the prayers!

I snapped this picture of two of my students yesterday! How cute are they? They are best buds! They will start their 3rd year with me next year! I feel so lucky to work with these special children and to see the progress they make is amazing! I can't believe how big these boys have gotten! They did not even know or care that one or the other existed and now they play with each other! Amazing! I absolutely love my job and my students! I will be running extended school year this summer. I just can't stay away unless I'm giving birth:). It is shorter hours and shorter weeks, so I will still have plenty of time with Mead and Declan too!

And we are stuck inside sick:(. Not sure what hit the Wood house but it has hit 3 out of 4 of us! Praying it misses Mead! It got me Monday and Jason and Declan Tuesday! Declan woke up in a pile of throw up:(. Poor little boy! Not sure how long it will last! I only have 7 days of school left and need to be there! Wish I could be in two places at once!




Finally got him to eat and smile. He is terrified of throwing up:(

Mead is 11 Months Old

I missed his 10 month post and picture:(. Mom fail! Here is his 11 month picture:). Can't believe he is almost one. He has no fear, the best smile and most contagious laugh! He is such a happy baby and loves everyone. He is so tough! My friend said that Mead is going to play football and Declan will be the bookie! Hilarious! He says "all done," "hello" (when he picks up my phone), "da da," "ma ma," and babbles a lot. He is walking more and more, but I would not consider him a full time walker. He eats everything! Right now his favorites are...cheese, rice, beans, bandannas, peanut butter toast, deli meat, and spaghetti! I'm so in love with this little boy!

Mother's Day

It was a great Mother's Day! I can't believe I am the mom of two healthy and adorable boys! I feel very blessed. I also feel ver blessed to have celebrated the special day with my mom. It was the first Mother's Day without grandmama and that was very hard on my mom. I was glad that we could lift her spirits. I strive to be a mom like my Mom. She is the most caring, giving, and loving person their is. The boys are so lucky to have her for a grandmother too. The bond she has with both of them is so special. Thanks, mom for all that you do, bust most importantly your unconditional love. We love you MORE!
