So...Declan is definitely obsessed with his Dad... hands down. He still is saying Da Da Da Da repeatedly. I am starting to wonder if it is in context now! Just kidding! I absolutely love nothing more than seeing my boys together. It really does make me tear up...and for those of you reading this blog know that doesn't happen very often. I count my blessing everyday for such an amazing family.

Gi Gi

Last week my mom and sister took ALL of the kids to see their Great Grandmama...Gi Gi! Declan had a blast. My grandmother is getting older, but she is still kicking! You could tell that the visit made her day, but she was also exhausted afterwards. Declan decided to try on some sunglasses during his visit. It really made Gi Gi smile :-)

This stage of Declan's life is AWESOME! He has such a personality and I am LOVING every minute with him! He is just SO much fun! I am serious...if there was a pause button on life...I would so PUSH it and make time STOP! We are having too much fun with our little boy!

Declan is still LOVING all of the food he is trying! Imagine that?! We are almost done with fruits and on to stage two of food! We have our routine in the evening before bedtime...Declan gets his bottle, food, and then a bath. While I am starting the bath guess who I busted trying to bathe him first...yep, Dixon. They are definitely best friends and Declan thinks it is hilarious! Glad I caught them on camera!

I had the pleasure of co hosting a shower for one of my closest friend's (my roommate from college) this weekend in Birmingham. Declan stayed at his Pop and Cyn Cyn's house. We dropped him off early Saturday morning and picked him up late Sunday afternoon. Have I told you how much I love and appreciate my family? It is a HUGE relief to be able to go out of town and not worry about Declan at all...miss him...OF COURSE...but definitely not worried about him. It was nice to have a night to ourselves with wonderful people too! The engagement party was a success and such a fun time! Becky and Andrew are getting married 10-10-10 in Florida and I am honored to be a part of their big day! We are so happy for them! We will also be bringing Declan, so it should be a BIG time! Love you Becky and Andrew!!!

We traded out car seats today. I am one strong girl, but I was pretty sick of carting the carrier plus 18lb. Declan around. My sister and brother-in-law gave us our new seat. THANK YOU! Declan looks so little in it! So cute! We played outside while Jason installed it. It was too pretty not to.

We also had lunch over at Aunt Lisa's today with Jason's family. It was so nice to see everyone! We had not seen them since Christmas Eve. Pretty crazy because they only live 25 minutes away, but I guess everyone is busy these days and it is harder to get together. Thanks for lunch, Lisa!!!

Jason starts a job in Troy, Alabama tomorrow. It will be a lot closer, but still out of town :-( We are going to Birmingham this weekend for one of my best friend's from college engagement party. So excited for Becky and Andrew and cannot wait to celebrate with them and help host their shower. Declan will be staying with Cyn Cyn and Pop! I will post pictures when we get back!

It is amazing what a little but of sunshine can do to change the mood of everyone! Jason came home this weekend after working and being sick and FINALLY went to the doctor. He has a bad sinus infection and they put him on some strong antibiotics. Declan and I have still been coughing, but are feeling better. We decided to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. My mom bought Declan some sunglasses on one of our first outings with him and he loved wearing them yesterday! We walked around Atlantic Station, played a little bit, and ate lunch.

I swear this child smiles all of the time, but especially when I pull out the camera! It is hilarious! The nurses at the pediatricians office think he should be the new e*trade baby on the commercials. Ha ha! Maybe they are right?! Here are a couple of cute pictures of "little Jason."

As many of you know...I think Valentine's Day is a really stupid holiday. I always have. I think Jason probably thinks he is one lucky husband, because he does not have to do any of that V-day cheesy crap. He does it for me plenty of times throughout the year. It is my brother-in-law's bday, so that is what we like to celebrate on the 14th of February! Happy B-day Peter! We love you!!!

Jason is sick today. Poor guy has worked so hard lately I think he has run himself down and now he is sick. He is not the best patient, but he is getting better :-) He will be going back to North Carolina in the morning. I hope he feels better! We have enjoyed another weekend together as a family :-) Declan is SO much fun! This mom thing just keeps getting better!

Declan started solid foods today! We started with prunes (doctor's orders) and he loved them. He is also getting prune juice in his bottle twice a day, so he was familiar with the taste. We got to get this kid to poop! He really likes to try and feed himself! Man, he is going to kill me if he sees this when he is older! Anyway...here are som cute pictures!
